Jaune Toujours

Voor Jaune Toujours is het festivalseizoen goed begonnen! Een indrukwekkende reeks concerten met heel wat belangwekkende podia, zowel in België als in de omringende landen; Couleur Café, Dranouter (B), Cambridge Festival, Womad (UK)... én ook in Nederland, waar het live album cluB samen met het meest recente studio-album Barricade in april voor het eerst uitkwam, loopt het als een trein. Jaune Toujours staat net als thuisstad Brussel garant voor een explosieve mix van cultuur, taal en muziekstijlen. En dat laatste wordt al snel duidelijk als de groep het podium betreedt. Want of het nou rock, chansons, ska, zigeunermuziek, balkan of fanfareklanken zijn, bij Jaune Toujours kan het allemaal!

De groep heeft ondertussen een stevige live reputatie opgebouwd in binnen- en buitenland. Jaune Toujours speelt vanuit de buik en mikt al eens op de benen, maar nooit gratuit: de teksten hebben diepgang en vertalen een flinke portie engagement. Een jaar geleden speelde Jaune Toujours nog in het voorprogramma van Manu Chao in Brussel en trokken ze voor de VRT naar het EBU-festival in Forde in Noorwegen. In de zomer van 2006 speelde de groep op tal van festivals boven en onder de taalgrens en deden ze een kleine maar erg succesvolle tournee in en rond London, met uitzonderlijk veel aandacht van de Engelse pers.
